Location Data

• What we collect: Your device's GPS location (when granted permission)
• Why we collect it: To automatically fetch weather conditions (temperature, elevation, humidity) for accurate club distance calculations
• When we collect it: Only when you use Pro features that auto-fill weather data
• How it's stored: Location data is used in real-time and NOT stored on our servers

Golf Bag Data

• What we collect: Your club selections, distances, and baseline environmental variables
• How it's stored: All golf bag data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults
• Who can access it: Only you - we do NOT have access to your golf bag data

Purchase Information

• What we collect: In-app purchase receipts are processed by Apple
• Who handles it: Apple's App Store handles all payment processing
• What we receive: We only verify subscription status, not payment details

Information We DO NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
• Payment card information
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device identifiers
• Browsing history
• Contacts or photos

How We Use Your Information

• Location Data: Used exclusively to fetch current weather conditions from Open-Meteo API for distance calculations
• Golf Bag Data: Stored locally on your device to save your club configurations
• Subscription Status: Verified through Apple's StoreKit to unlock Pro features

Open-Meteo Weather API

• Purpose: Fetch weather data for Pro users
• Data Shared: GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) or city name

Data Security

• All golf bag data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
• Location data is transmitted securely via HTTPS to weather services
• We do not maintain any servers that store user data
• No user accounts or registration required

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data stored locally in the app (via My Golf Bag screen)
• Delete: Uninstall the app to remove all local data
• Control Location: Manage location permissions in iOS Settings → Course Caddy
• Opt-Out: Don't grant location permission to use the app without auto-weather features

Children's Privacy

Course Caddy does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and contains no age-restricted content.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of changes.

Data Deletion

To delete all your data:

1. Delete the Course Caddy app from your device
2. All locally stored golf bag data will be permanently removed
